Vice President of Manufacturing Operations

Position Summary
The Vice President of Manufacturing/Operations is responsible for direction, strategy, and planning and execution for the company’s manufacturing operations. Responsible for all aspects of manufacturing from planning through final shipment of all items produced and delivered to our customers.
Responsibilities
• Manage employees and hands-on operation of the company’s manufacturing function.
• Ensure that as the company grows, manufacturing capabilities meet or exceed all industry and customer requirements for cost, quality and responsiveness.
• Work closely with the SVP and CFO on manufacturing plans, goals, and KPI’s.
• Play and active role in future product innovations.
• Develop and execute metrics with a focus on product costs and availability.
• Direct all production control, production process and shipping/receiving activities.
• Indirectly manage quality systems, safety and purchasing throughout the manufacturing facility.
• Partner/Collaborate with sales team to meet customers’ needs.
Requirements:
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in product engineering, manufacturing engineering, and operations of high-volume manufacturing with experience in tooling, assembly, shipping and receiving in a certified manufacturing organization (ISO9000).
• Experience in materials management.
• Success deploying product into high-volume production with fast time-to-market and cost-sensitivity requirements.
• Self-starter, team player with strong interpersonal skills that will thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
• Strong Problem solving, Risk Management and planning and project management skills.
• Large- and small-company experience, ideally in leading manufacturing in a rapid-growth environment.
• BS in Engineering (ME, Industrial Engineering), preferably with MBA.
