Senior Software Project Engineer
A Software Project Engineer is responsible for the day to day management of R&D product implementations with a software focus. Additionally, will Coordinate and conduct research and development which will lead to new or improved software products under specific marketing, cost, time and regulatory constraints. Management activities include the alignment and oversight of a cross-functional team to ensure deliverables are completed as required, maintenance and tracking of the project schedule and direct management of the design and test engineers. The Software Project Engineer will also be responsible for collaborating with Marketing to help drive the product roadmap.
Qualifications/Work Experience
• 3-5 years related project engineering experience • B.S. in Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or Electrical Engineering • Past experience traveling to customer sites and driving/managing new product releases • At a minimum, 1 year of Project Management experience • Software development experience in the last 2-3 years • Would prefer to have an individual from the Medical Device industry; however, not required
The Software Project Engineer should have technical understanding of the following technologies. • Java/C# • Linux • VMWare • SQL and DB2 Database • HL7, preferred
Education and/or Special Training
B.S. in Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or Electrical Engineering
Professional/Technical certifications such as PMP, VMWare Certified Professional (VCP) and Microsoft software certifications are a plus.
