Sales Engineer - Assembly tools
This position offers you the opportunity to join a successful and growing team representing a high-profile brand to dealers and manufacturers in a multi-state territory. Your mission will be to develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with factory contacts and dealers in a territory that includes TN, AL, TX, GA, and the Carolinas. The goal of these relationships will be to maximize the sales, market share, and profitability of our assembly tool product line, including power screwdrivers, nutrunners, impact drivers, and impact wrenches. Your success in this role could set you up to pursue a wide variety of career paths within Makita.
To be a good fit for this opportunity you will have at least three years of experience in assembly and manufacturing environments and the technical aptitude to understand the assembly-related flow within a factory. A background in sales is not required, but you will need excellent interpersonal skills, proven success building professional relationships, and the ability to deliver stand-up presentations. We're looking for a professional with strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and presentation skills, as well as strong PC abilities, including word processing, spreadsheets, and other applications. You will work out of your home office (ideally in the Dubuque, IA area), but you can expect to spend a great deal of your time calling on your customers.
