QA Tester -
They do a lot of regression testing with client data that doesn't have a user interface so they use scripts through QTP to immitate this data through SOAP UI. Need someone with expertise in QTP, Unix, regression testing, SOAP UI and strong scripting with either Perl, Shell or SQL.
Job Tasks:
· Participate in all Software Development Lifecycle phases including design, development, test and post-production releases.
· Analyze and interpret design specifications, business requirements and end-user feedback and apply information to the testing process.
· Use application specifications to create robust test plans and test cases.
· Perform User Interface, Functional, Integration and Regression testing.
· Handle software installations and configurations.
· Document and discuss test execution results and create defect-tracking records for discovered problems.
· Collaborate with Support and Development to research and test production issues.
· Conduct software demonstrations and cross-training sessions.
Requirements:
4+ years QA Testing
Expertise in QTP
Strong scripting skills in either Perl, Shell or SQL
Strong Unix and Unix commands
Required Experience:
4+ years of recent, formal testing experience; retail, mail-order pharmacy or industry experience may substitute for a formal testing background.
In-depth understanding of software testing principles and techniques.
Proficient with running SQL queries using tools like DbVisualizer, Microsoft Query, Toad or command-line editors.
Strong analytical skills, creative thinking and problem solving ability.
Efficient use of business software like Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint.
Must demonstrate effective time-management skills and comply with project deadlines.
Strong communication skills. Must communicate with all levels of the organization including team members, management, customers and third-party vendors.
Desired Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering.
Current and practical knowledge of Mercury tools including TestDirector or Quality Center, Quick Test Pro and LoadRunner.
Knowledge of Agile development methodologies including SCRUM.
Technical background with the following experience: Java, Oracle, VBScript, UNIX, XML, Perl, JBoss jBPM (or other workflow engine), WebLogic, JSP, HTML, EDI, LDAP, IVR, Tomcat, Elixir, Crystal Reports.
Healthcare experience relating to pharmacy, physician or claims processing.
Retail interfaces like POS, IVR and signature capture devices.
Use of hardware peripherals including Laser and Thermal printers, barcode scanners, document scanners and biometric devices.
