Qualifications/Duties BASIC QUALIFICATION:
EDUCATION: Associate's degree (or attained within 3 months of hire date). Preferred: Associates degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Lab Science or Chemical, Physical or Biological Science
EXPERIENCE: Internship in an approved Medical Technician training program. Preferred: 2 years experience in a Hospital Medical Laboratory.
LICENSE / CERTIFICATION: MLT ASCP or equivalent (AMT, AAB, HHS, NCA, HEW, CLS-CA (FL or NY State License), (Philippine Board of Technical Technology) Preferred MLT(ASCP)
SKILS: Excellent skills in organization, data management, written and oral communication, training and competency verification, coordination of multiple tasks/projects, working with non-laboratory personnel, troubleshooting and general instrument processes (validation, linearity, QC, correlations, reagent purchase, documentation)
HOURS: Mon - Fri with rotating weekends, hours are 4:30pm to 1:00 am
DUTIES: Monitoring and support of patient care staff performing point of care testing. Participation on various councils, committees and special projects as assigned.
