Position Overview/Summary:
Responsibilities:
* The design and development of all aspects of mechanical components, systems and products, including assembly and part drawings as well as other required documentation from design concept to manufacturing release. * Design concepts, manufacturing techniques, materials and manufacturing processes. Create document packages that specify the complete design intent of a product, including 2D/3D drawings, Bills of Materials and Engineering Change Orders * Implementing documentation updates and changes to existing products. * Ensuring product quality by designing testing methods. * Testing prototypes. * Confirming fabrication, assembly and installation processes. * Generating testing and validation plans for designs, and executing on them. Requirements
Requirements: * Demonstrate extensive experience in both Mechanical Design and Drafting * Must be proficient in Pro/idWorks a plus * Complex surfacing in Pro/Engineer – capable of working with Industrial Designers * Demonstrate strong project management skills * Must have electronics packaging experience * Plastics design including tooling considerationsrequired * Sheet metal design * Experience in Consumer Product Design and/or Electro-Mechanical Device Design required. * Must be well-versed in design, prototyping and evaluation of Injection molded plastic, metal stampings and material selection * Should be a solution-oriented person who thinks creatively to design and develop complex mechanical components, systems and equipment * 5+ years experience in mechanical design * Associates Degree in Mechanical Design, Manufacturing or Engineering related fieldsat a minimum. Bachelors desired.
