Safety-Kleenis seeking aLaboratory Technician. You will be responsible for a wide range of laboratory testing according to ASTM and EPA methods. Work hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm but may change to Monday through Friday 4:00pm to Midnight as needed.
Responsibilities:
* Sample preparation and analysis for used oil. Analytical methods may include ICP, GC/ECD for PCB's, Bomb Calorimetry, flash point, viscosity, density measurement, pH, Karl Fisher water analysis, and VOC and HVOC analysis. * Input of data from analysis into lab information system database. Completion of all logs and records related to analysis for traceability.
Requirements: * High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in Chemistry preferred. * 1 - 3 years experience in the field of chemical analysis required. * Wet chemistry, GC or ICP instrument experience preferred. * Physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, bending, moving and lifting light objects.
