Your Opportunity at Intuit: Help us shape the look and feel for the next generation of Intuit's SaaS applications for financial professionals. We seek a leader and Interaction Designer with superior design skills and experience defining design direction across a family of web-based products. Successful candidate will be well trained or experienced in end-to-end interaction design, be a strong customer researcher, illustrate an ability to apply strategic thinking and business goals to all design work, possess a keen, and quick understanding of design patterns and trends, will be known for high-level and out-of-the-box thinking, and has shown the leadership ability to influence organizations in UX strategies.
Your Talents: Qualifications
.Four-year HCI or design degree and 5+ years of visual or user interface design experience with consumer applications
.Proven experience in delivering successful web-based products under tight deadlines
.Expert knowledge of design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc).
.Expert hands-on knowledge of a combination of these tools HTTP/ HTML/ DHTML/ DOM/ XML/ XSLT/ CSS/ XHTML/ JHTML/ JavaScript, Photoshop, FLEX, Flash, and other web development/production tools.
.Extensive knowledge of current and emerging web technologies
.Passion for creating a great customer experience with an understanding of user research, metrics and extensive Web processes
.Demonstrated successful management of Web projects on an aggressive timeline
.Ability to multitask and manage multiple small to large projects in a cross-functional environment
.Excellent communication, teamwork and people skills
.Candidate will have worked as a hands-on design practitioner, will have kept his or her hands-on design skills sharp and up-to-date, is known for working well with product management, development, and design teams, and will have been responsible for hands-on prototyping, testing, and executing successful web applications
.Be capable of defining and implementing design concepts, end-to-end solutions, UX standards
.Illustrate drive for ease of use and simplicity despite complexity of web applications
.Learn new technology quickly, from the core applications being developed to new design tools to new platforms and devices
.Collaborate with engineering and product development partners, compare and contrast various design solutions and approaches while taking technical, resource, and time constraints into account
.Illustrate experience in conceptual and creative development and in hands-on execution
.Be a creative problem-solver and an effective communicator, presenter, negotiator, collaborator, regardless of organizational structure or hierarchy
.Illustrate previous effective partnership with Interaction Design, User Research, Engineering and Product Management
.Visual design skills are a plus
