UPS Supply Chain Solutions is seeking to fill an Export Management position. This position is responsible for managing the processes that support the customer's export operation and oversees hourly employees. The position is responsible for ensuring compliance and timely service by applying knowledge of laws, regulations, governing agencies, procedures, audits, programs, and practices that reduce company risk.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Analyze operation plans to schedule staffing based on departmental needs.
Review customer volumes to ensure all documents are processed accurately and timely.
Observe staff to monitor work practices and ensure compliance with UPS and customer work instructions.
Determine employees’ training needs to produce continuous development plans.
Provide on-going feedback and support to improve performance.
Conduct performance evaluations in a consistent, fair, and objective manner.
Perform routine file audits to ensure that compliance and recordkeeping requirements are being met.
Oversee EEI audits to ensure errors are being resolved and corrections obtained as necessary.
Determine employees' training needs to produce continuous development plans.
Provide on-going feedback and support to improve performance.
Conduct performance evaluations in a consistent, fair, and objective manner to encourage continuous performance improvement.
Hold others accountable to established performance levels to achieve individual and group goals.
Resolve individual and group performance issues in accordance with UPS’s policies and procedures in a timely manner to motivate and foster teamwork.
Respond promptly to customer concerns and issues to demonstrate understanding, resolve issues, and maintain business.
Identify compliance problems and respond with appropriate actions.
Identify actions needed to resolve compliance issues and collaborate to develop corrective action plans.
Provide input into procedural changes and interpret organizational implications to changing laws and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
At least 5 years of Export experience.
A Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, or International Management preferred.
Demonstrates a basic understanding of the functions of compliance agencies or governing bodies internationally.
Must be familiar with the EAR, Restricted Parties Lists maintained by the U.S. Government including Denied Persons list, Specially Designated Nationals and embargo countries.
Familiarity with the various types of export documents and the ability to recognize red flags as they pertain to export transactions.
Candidates should have experience successfully motivating and managing employees.
Financial analysis & financial management skills Experience in basic accounting, containing costs or protecting margin is also required.
Strong analytical, oral/written communication, problem solving, basic research, and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook).
Must be familiar with AES and EEI filings.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Five years of Export experience is required.
This position requires an Associates degree (two-year college degree) or equivalent experience relevant to the job.
This position requires legal authorization to work in the United States
