Job Summary: Director Global Projects reports to the Global CIO and SVP and supports company's key strategic technology initiatives. The primary focus of this role is to develop and manage a process for delivering global technology solutions according to best practice project management methodologies. This individual will establish strong partnerships with Regional IT PMO leaders in Brink's.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: . Establish Global Project Management Office (PMO) . Develop global project management methodology including both processes and key performance metrics . Ensure global technology initiatives follow the defined project management methodology . Train regional and country IT leaders on the global project management methodology . Track global programs and report on performance status including adherence to defined project management methodology . Identify and implement improvements to the global project management methodology . Identify and recommend enterprise software tools to automate the defined global project management methodology Position Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALFICATIONS: . Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Management of Information Systems . 10 years of progressive work experience . At least 5 years experience in managing a project management office(PMO) . At least 5 years as a project manager leading technology projects . Minimum of 3 years in a management/supervisory capacity with demonstrated ability to build teams and motivate employees . ITIL Certified . PMP Certified PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: . Global experience is highly preferred . Six Sigma Certified . Must have experience mentoring and training a broad audience . Knowledge and proven experience with PMI and/or Prince 2 methodology PROFESSIONAL SKILLS: . Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Expertise in preparing executive level presentations/communications . Requires the ability to model the Brink's Values . Require core competencies of communication, leadership, ability to drive change, innovative outlook and problem analysis . Excellent analytical and strategic thinking/logical reasoning ability . Ability to give guidance around developing and executing project plans, communicating to business partners, and managing multiple projects simultaneously . Must be self-driven and able to maintain focus on issues and escalate as necessary . Demonstrated ability to effectively build relationships and on-going dialogue with senior business management teams to understand an organization's business strategies and goal . Strong influencing and collaboration skills . Proven ability to accept ownership, take initiative and assume responsibility for self, staff and the team . Proactively brings difficult issues to the table and challenges others to think broadly . Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite required .
