Job Summary: WORK PERFORMED: Acting with considerable latitude for independent judgment, administers a phase, or phases of work associated with the Spare Parts Department function, or related activity. May be involved with Sales Orders, Expedites, Customer Orders, Kits, Inventory Control, GFP Order Control, Overhaul, Contracts, Schedules, etc. Administration will apply to domestic or foreign, military or commercial customers. May be assigned to one or more phases of the Spare Parts Department Administration and/or functions. Working from a variety of data sources, analyzes spare parts, kits and/or special tools to be released in anticipation of future requirements. Analysis will include engineering orders, blueprints, customer orders, consumption and reliability data, etc. Determines the effect of changes on spares (kits, special tools) inventory and work in process, and makes appropriate adjustments. Coordinates functions with other groups to assure customer satisfaction. Maintains records as required. Performs miscellaneous functions and special assignments as directed. May interface and/or instruct clerical personnel performing related work, as necessary. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Four years of college, or equivalent in aircraft technical courses leading to A&P license, plus three and one-half (3-1/2) years experience in similar work as described above or three and one-half (3-1/2) years experience in manufacturing liaison work; aircraft inventory control functions of a higher nature equivalent to those described above, aircraft mechanical experience in field service work wherein a comprehensive knowledge of aircraft parts and application of same has been gained. A thorough knowledge of blueprints is essential. Two additional years of qualifying experience in similar work as described above may be substituted for two years educational requirements. OR Two years college and five years experience as an Administrator Spares Control (A-12, F361), or Scheduler P/C (666, A-10), or Clerk, Technical Engineering (A-07, 142), or Analyst, Data Release (F342, A-12), or Analyst, Contractual Data I (F106, A-10), or Analyst, Contractual Data II (F107, A-12), or Writer, Technical Publications I (F463, A-10), or Writer, Technical Publications II (F464, A-10), or Editor, Technical Publications (F465, A-13), or a combination thereof totaling five years, all of which must have been at Bell Helicopter Textron Inc. This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR.
