Job Summary:

Coordinate activities associated with the purchasing of AdvoCare inventory and/or other products to support the initiatives of the company.

Primary Responsibilities:

Evaluate the needs for inventory, promotional items, and other purchased goods to support the overall organization.

Work directly with qualified vendors to support the purchasing activities of the company.

Establish best available pricing with vendors for purchased items.

Evaluate price breaks for volume purchases.

Submit approved purchase orders to vendors for fulfillment.

Evaluate the performance of each vendor to meet AdvoCare?s needs and requirements.

Source qualified vendors to support the efforts of the Supply Chain Department.

Work with internal customers to identify product needs, lead times, and price points.

Setup communication with internal customers in order to provide notification of changes in delivery times, quantities, or other necessary information.

Work directly with management on improvements to the Supply Chain structure and implementation of new initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities:

Work directly with vendors on approved methods of transportation for all purchased products.

Evaluate the performance of all freight vendors to meet delivery schedules, quality of services, and pricing.

Provide reporting to management as needed.

Requirements:

Knowledge and Skills Required:

2yrs + experience in a Buyer role.

4yr college degree in Supply Chain or Business related field from an accredited college.

2yrs + experience in print material purchasing

Experience in the purchasing of consumable goods is preferred

Experience in an environment with a diverse supply chain network.

Strong Excel skills.

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Experience with Oracle Purchasing and WMS modules

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 40lbs

Ability to work in a fast paced and stressful environment.
