Assistant Controller
Sugar Land manufacturing services company is seeking an Assistant Controller. This is a great opportunity!
Supervise and complete the preparation, consolidation and presentation of monthly accounting reports
Preparation of accounts includes month-end journal entries covering provisional, intercompany, overhead allocation and management entry transactions.
Preparation and presentation of budget plans, on a quarterly basis or as required, in conjunction with operational and sales personnel.
Coordination of monthly book closing and adjustments, fiscal year closing and adjustments, and all financial reporting.
Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting audits; providing information to external auditors.
Oversees tax prep work of tax accountant, keeps appraised of current tax law. Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation
Cost/Inventory Accounting required
Requirements:
8+ years of relevant accounting/financial experience, in a management position.
Bachelor's of Accounting Degree.
CPA REQUIRED
Cost/Inventory Accounting required
Experience with Manufacturing industry experience a huge plus; cost accounting, inventory, etc
Effective organizational, management, and communication skills are all essential.
Position Requirements:
Direct Hire, +4 yrs experience as Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, Supervisory Skills (A/R - A/P), Office Skills, software experience working with Syteline a plus, Excel, and Word
