Helping you get motivated in your sales career.

When you are working in sales, one of the hardest things is staying motivated and helping to lead your team toward success. Being a leader is tough and although you can be born with a natural inclination toward leadership, it's still something you have to practice.

When looking for advice and motivation, I always like to take a look at quotes from some of the best leaders in our history.

Here are a few quotes about leadership that I found to be particularly inspiring:

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, concerned citizens can change world. Indeed it is the only thing that ever has.
Margaret Mead

As we look ahead into the next century, leaders will be those who empower others.
Bill Gates

The leaders who work most effectively, it seems to me, never say “I.” And that’s not because they have trained themselves not to say “I.” They don’t think “I.” They think “we”; they think “team.” They understand their job to be to make the team function. They accept responsibility and don’t sidestep it, but “we” gets the credit…. This is what creates trust, what enables you to get the task done.
Peter Drucker

If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.
John Quincy Adams

The best executive is the one who has sense enough to pick good men to do what he wants done, and self-restraint to keep from meddling with them while they do it.
Theodore Roosevelt

If I have seen farther than others, it is because I was standing on the shoulder of giants.
Isaac Newton

You don't lead by hitting people over the head - that's assault, not leadership.
Dwight D. Eisenhower

Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower.
Steve Jobs

I suppose leadership at one time meant muscles; but today it means getting along with people.
Mohandas Gandhi

Management is efficiency in climbing the ladder of success; leadership determines whether the ladder is leaning against the right wall.
Stephen Covey

I hope that you find these as inspiring as I did.
